The Climate Sociology Lab researches the social lives of climate change.

We use sociology to accelerate and improve climate change mitigation and adaptation, and we also use the problems of climate change to develop better sociology. With quantitative, qualitative, mixed, and participatory action research methods, we reveal how social facts like race, class, gender, institutions, and interaction slow humanity's climate solutions - and how accumulated knowledge about the social can help speed solutions.

We develop our research through public engagement, teaching and advising, and collaboration
